How do I receive a loan?
Complete the online application
Once you submit your loan application, along with your personal, employment, and financial information, you will receive:
- A quick decision on your loan request
- An email with additional information
Meet with your loan specialist
If approved, a OneMain loan specialist will contact you to:
- Schedule an appointment at your local branch
- Discuss available loan options
- Verify identity, income, employment, and collateral (if applicable)
Sign and receive your funds
After you review and accept your loan terms:
- Sign your contract
- Receive your funds
Filling out the loan application
1. Enter the loan amount and click "Get Started".
You only need to enter the price of the vehicle in the application, even if you plan to roll and extended warranty or GAP insurance or both into your loan.
OneMain will indicate the maximum loan amount you’re eligible for when your loan application is approved. The actual loan amount can then be adjusted to include an extended warranty as long as it does not exceed your maximum offer. GAP insurance does not apply to the maximum loan amount, so you can always add it if it is available.
2. Enter your information, including your monthly net income.
The information entered here should be for the loan applicant.
Monthly Net Income is your income each month after taxes and deductions, which may include your monthly salary, social security, pension or other sources of income. You do not need to include alimony, child support, or separate maintenance income unless you want to have it considered as a basis for repaying this loan.
3. Check the boxes at the end of the prequalification application and click "Check for Prequalified Offer".
Clicking the check boxes authorizes OneMain to contact you, place an inquiry on your credit report, and to agree to the terms of OneMain's Electronic Consent Agreement and online Privacy Policy.
Because this is for a loan prequalification, and not an official loan agreement itself, your credit score will not be affected.
